I like the way the Rev. John Hagee, senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, answered
that question in his July 6, 2011, message for Christians United for Israel:
“I am often asked by those who have never visited Israel if I am ever concerned for my safety and I always answer, ‘No, for the God who watches over Israel never sleeps!’ Psalm 48 captures the essence of why I, and all who travel to The Promised Land, feel safe and secure. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob dwells there!”

Pastor Hagee is national chairman of Christians United for Israel. So today, as CUFI commences its 6th Annual Washington Summit, Pastor Hagee’s position strikes me as particularly relevant.
